Tariff Line does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.
What runs where
- All cost calculations run locally in your browser.
- The extension reads the title and price of the supplier page you are viewing only to calculate your result, and only after you press “Calculate this page”. That content is never sent anywhere. The card is not injected into pages on its own.
- Settings and saved items are stored in your browser's local extension storage (
chrome.storage.local) and are never uploaded.
Network requests
The extension makes requests only to public reference services, and sends no user data with them:
hts.usitc.gov— US duty rates (USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule).trade-tariff.service.gov.uk— UK duty rates (HMRC Trade Tariff).api.frankfurter.dev— daily ECB reference exchange rates, used only to show a result in your chosen currency. The request asks for rates; no page content or personal data is sent.extensionpay.com— only if you choose to upgrade to Pro. Payments are handled by ExtensionPay; the payment page collects your email and card details under their privacy policy. The extension itself only asks ExtensionPay whether this browser has a paid plan.
Australian and EU duty rates are included with the extension, so no request is made for those markets.
What we do not do
- No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
- No accounts, no cookies, no third-party trackers.
- No selling or sharing of data — there is none to share.
